Pay less for SMS with MO-Call

Earlier this week, Informa Telecoms & Media reported that SMS will remain a significant source of revenues and traffic for Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) on a global basis until at least 2015. This is not at all surprising to us at MO-Call. According to Informa, global SMS revenues are forecast to rise to US$136.9 billion in 2015 from US$105.5 billion in 2010, while global SMS traffic is expected to increase to 8.7 trillion messages in 2015 from 5 trillion messages in 2010.

MO-Call offers customers SMS at a substantial saving over Mobile Network Operators charges outside the bundle included in their contract. Mobile Network Operators are charging 15 pence for an SMS outside the minute / SMS bundle to a UK mobile and 35 pence per SMS to an International Mobile number. MO-Call charges 8 pence and from 4.5 pence respectively.

The MO-Call service focuses on the voice and SMS service, the two (2) cash cows of the Mobile Network Operators. Indeed, in a number of markets, SMS costs to the consumer have risen as MNO’s generate additional cashflows to invest in expensive Capex programs and heavy senior managers salaries, bonuses and perks. MO-Call doesn’t subscribe to the old business model but rather the new business model of leveraging the internet and technology to offer the best quality of service and price to our customers.
